Tell me,does anyone remember graduation on the day the presedent was pronounced dead and, our graduation was cut short as we headed back to the barracks to watch the news on tv?I don't remember what company or battalion I WAS IN BUT,ALL OF THIS OCCURRED AT cAMP Porter,RTC Great Lakes,Illinois.The announcement came around 13:15 on that day.No one was concerned about the graduation ceremony being cut short but,we all marched out of the drill hall in perfect order.Our company and, the other companies.After arriving at the barracks,we all crowded around the tiny screened t.v. together.By the way,just fir a hint,our company had an Italian Singing Group.I don't know what happened to them.
